Mooncamp Community Day

This free community festival will be an exciting day of hands-on activities and workshops that will amaze and astound all the family! Walk the solar system, take part in space-themed craft workshops, get among the stars in a Planetarium and much more!

As well as a range of demonstrations and practical sessions throughout the day, we will be joined by celebrity astronomer Mark Thompson from BBC's Stargazing Live and ITV's Good Morning Britain. Mark will be running his spectacular science shows and talking to children and their parents about all things space. Take a look at the full line-up of activities below.

What's On

11:15am, 12:15am & 1:15pm Author of Jasper: Space Dog, Hilary Robinson, will be running three workshops

1:30pm - 2:30pm Spectacular Science Show from BBC's Mark Thompson

Every 30 minutes: Space-themed shadow puppet workshop with Occhiblu Theatre Company in the Visitors Centre

Every 30 minutes: Planetarium experience with the University of Liverpool in the Visitors Centre

· Selfie competition and "See yourself in Space" Green Screen with hi-impact
